Frequently Asked Questions
Everything You Need to Know
Do I need a piano or keyboard?
The largest and most expensive and also the best definitely is an acoustic pianos. However, there is nothing wrong with starting piano lessons with 88-key digital piano, which has to be designed to sound and feel as much like an acoustic piano as possible. As far as electronic keyboard, it is the least expensive option but also may not have the right touch to develop hand strength for a beginning pianist or enough keys to play a wide range of music.
Do you offer make-up lessons? Do you need 24 hours notice for a cancelled lesson?
Make-up weeks will be allotted in the year.
If you are unable to attend a regularly scheduled lesson, please provide 48 hours notice as courtesy.
What are the student expectations? What are the parents' role in the learning process?
For the students, they are expected to be consistent, careful practicing is the key to being well prepared with a minimum of 5 days per week of quality practicing is required.

For the parents, positive interest and support are keys for your child's growth and feelings of success. Please be punctual and ask your child what needs to be prepared, the love or feel good about and what needs more work for each lesson.
